Bill “Doc” Byrd passed away on February 5, 2022. Doc was a Medic in 1965-66. Rest In Peace Brother. I talked to Doc Byrd one time. He told me back-k then that he was very sick and wouldn’t be able to make any of our reunions. He did say how much he loved Charlie Troop and the Troopers he served with.
We will be having some very special entertainment at this year’s reunion. On Friday night, one of our own is going to put on a very special show for us. On Saturday night, after coming back from the Show Boat, we will also have some very special entertainment.
Brooks Jelich says that when he is 100 years old, he wants to be living on the Beach and take care of the ocean. I think that is a great idea.

I was able to take a photo (slide) of Edward Kaneshiro when he was (field) awarded the Silver Star and will share if someone would like it. He was bashful and gentle young man. I’m so glad you posted his name because after all these years I can put his first name on the photo!
