MELVIE WAS MY STEP UNCLE
REMEMBERING THE GOOD TIMES NOT THE BAD. MY GRANDPA WAS MEAN TO MELVIN BUT HE WAS ALWAYS GOOD TO ME AND ALL MY SISTERS AND BROTHERS AND TO HIS LITTLE BROTHER. THE TIMES I REMEMBER WERE ALWAYS FUN TIMES RIDING ON THE BACK OF THE TRACTOR AND DRIVING THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF THE DESERT AT NIGHT LOOKING UP AT THE STARS FROM THE BACK OF THE PICKUP. MEMORIES LIKE THAT DON’T FADE AND THOUGH MOST PEOPLE THAT KNEW MELVIN ARE PROBABLY GONE I KNOW HIS MOTHER IS AND SO IS MY GRANDPA, MELVINS STEP-DAD. BUT I WILL ALWAYS TREASURE MY MEMORIES, AND I THANK GOD FOR LETTING ME HAVE THE PLEASURE OF KNOWING A PERSON AS GOOD AS MELVIN WAS EVEN THOUGH HE GREW UP HARD.
