Kevin was assigned to Charlie Troop on March 9, 1970 and was Killed in Action on July 28, 1970. Kevin was awarded the following Medals: Air Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and a set of Army Aviator Wings. Kevin was the Co-Pilot of an AH-1G Cobra Attack Helicopter.

Mr. Frye flew a cobra in C 1/9th not B. He was flying with David Zimmerman when they were shot down.

Yes, WO Frye was flying a AH-1G Cobra with C1/9 Cavalry when he was shot-down.
I had just finished up my second tour with B 1/9 Cav in July 1970, I recalled meeting Donald Frye – not the same guy as your WO Frye, my apologies. Memories get “blended” after 50 plus years.
