If any family member or friend reads this blog, please contact me as I am looking for pictures and personal stories about this brave man.
William Geis died as an aerial scout observer on board an OH-13S. I was his pilot. Bill volunteered to fly as a scout. We were covering the flanks of an Infantry Battalion and engaged an NVA ambush. We were downed during the action on Jan 27 and Bill died the next morning in the hospital. Bill was a young American man. I miss Bill and think of him often. I am sorry he didn’t come home to enjoy the country he fought to keep.
