Thomas was assigned to Charlie Troop on January 1, 1966 and was Killed in Action on May 28, 1966. Thomas was an 11B(ravo) Infantryman. He was a member of the Blue Platoon. He was awarded the Purple Heart, Combat Infantryman’s Badge (CIB), National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal.
