I was a candidate in OCS with “pan” who was considered by his fellow candidates to be one of our “cooler” comrades. After we completed OCS, we went to flight school with several of our classmates. He was always our “Frank Sinatra” image of Lompoc, California.
If any of his comrades from the 1/9th Cav know the details of his death, I would appreciate hearing of them so I can pass them on to our OCS comrades.

Bill,
If you have visited my blog, then you see what I do to Honor Our Brothers who were killed in Action. Is Barbara your mother. I had had contact with a Barbara who said she was his brother but I have not been able to contact her lately. What I am looking for are pictures of John in Uniform and as a youngster. With Family would be nice. Then I would like to have a story about him as to what he was like as a human being. I can tell what he did in the Army and what medals he earned but That doesn’t say anything about him as a human being. I want the world to see both sides of the man. So if you can help me out I surely would appreciate it. Are you old enough to remember him? My email is pcbnamin@verizon.net. Any pictures or any story (ies) can be sent to that address. We hold reunions every year where we honor the Fallen as well as any family members that comes. This years reunion is in Branson, MO September 29,30th and October 1st.
