William was assigned to Charlie Troop on September 27, 1966 and was Killed in Action on July 9, 1967. William was a Crew Chief on an UH-1D helicopter. William was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal.
