Danny’s High School picture
Danny was assigned to Charlie Troop on December 20, 1969 and was Killed on Action on May 27, 1970. Danny was an observer on an OH-6A Light Observation Helicopter. Danny was awarded the Purple Heart, Air Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and a set of Crew Member Wings.
If any family or friend reads this blog, please contact me as I am looking for pictures and personal stories about this brave man. These photographs were sent to me by Mrs. Gail Lesoski. I found Gail on a website where she had been taken care of Military Affairs in Caro, Mi. It just so happened that Gail had been Danny’s next door neighbor, She said Danny had a rough childhood but he really liked the Army and was doing very good i it.
