Gregory was assigned to Charlie Troop on May 20, 1970 and was Killed on January 22, 1971. Gregory was an Infantryman or Grunt as they were known. He was a member of the Blue Platoon. Gregory was awarded the Combat Infantryman’s Badge (CIB), the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal.

I have some other great photos of Greg in Viet Nam & letters. I just got the letters when my mom passed away in March of 2010. I was 10 when Greg got killed. He was my hero!!!! Ron Peffer is Greg’s brother.

Just found this, I had only been there about two weeks when he picked me to go out on patrol, this was the day he was kia, have a copy of the memorial service pamphlet, but I don’t think I have pictures, hadn’t been there long and didn’t know him well. Marvin Lundervold
