John was assigned to Charlie Troop on August 8, 1968 and was Killed in Action on September 26, 1968. I served with John. He was dedicated soldier and a good man with a smile and a Hello for everyone. John was an Observer on an OH-6A Observation helicopter. John was awarded the Purple Heart, Air Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietn.am Service Medal and a set of Crew member Wings.
