Waldo was assigned to Charlie Troop on July 28, 1969 and was Killed in Action on January 4, 1970. Waldo was an Infantryman or “Grunt” as they were called. Waldo was awarded the Combat Infantryman’s Badge (CIB), Air Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal.

He served in the same unit I served in but at a different time. started this blog to honor all of the men that served in Charlie Tropp but especially those who paid the ultimate price.
