David was assigned to Charlie Troop on October 11, 1969 and was Killed in Action on July 28, 1970. David was the pilot of a Cobra Gunship when it lost power and fell to the ground. David was awarded the Air Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and a set of Army Aviator Wings.
