PTSD Through the Eyes of a Child

  Patricia Gaudette (on left) her sister Diane and her Father Phillip Gaudette Sr. Phillip served in Charlie Troop 1st Squadron 9th Cavalry Regiment 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile) in Vietnam from 1970 tp 1971.  Phill suffered from PTSD and the effects of Agent Orange from the time he came back to the states until he passed away this year. Phill was an Infantryman who was very proud of his Service to Country, his time in Charlie Troop and his family. He loved his family but PTSD reared its ugly head and effected Phill and his family. Patricia is an Air Force veteran and a PTSD Specialist.

Patricia is known for her enthusiasm, positive energy, and empathy in providing provocative and innovative techniques in overcoming disaster stress, ordinary and economic stress, anxiety disorders, and phobias.  

     Patricia is also a renowned Life and Success Coach/Behavioral Scientist who passionately assists others who are seeking self-actualization.    She specializes in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Communication, Goal-Setting and Hypnosis.  Her goal is to contribute to the human condition, and add value to life.   She is the founder of Soul-Full Healing and Wellness in Asheville, NC.     

     Patricia understands the difficulties involved with financial stress, relationship stress, worry, trauma; and the debilitating effects it can have on one’s life on a physical and an emotional level.  Awareness, resiliency and flexibility have been the ultimate key in her success as she struggled with a family whose history has been composed of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) from the Vietnam War, severe depression, and poverty.  She knows all too well the devastation hard times and serious health conditions can have on a family—feelings of hopelessness and despair.

 As a service member in the United States Air Force, Patricia gained valuable experience in leadership, teamwork, and mentorship.  She was trained in many areas such as:  Medical

Service/Emergency Medical Technician, Aerospace Physiology, Hazardous Cargo and Weapons, Biological and Chemical Warfare, Disaster Training, Leadership and Communication, and Health Service Management.  She also received the honorary Accommodation and Meritorious Service Medals for her distinguished efforts in supporting missions.  Her comrades remember her by her smile, energy, and warm personality as she untiringly worked hard towards positive change and results.

     Patricia has a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management from Nyack College, NY, focusing in the areas of leadership, group dynamics, adaptation to culture and change, communication and relationship building, and sales and marketing.  With ethics and integrity as strong values, she supports the needs of each individual, as well as the vision of the team.  As a successful manager, she understands that everyone has his or her own special talents and contributions.
