If family or friends read this blog, please contact me as I am looking for personal stories about this brave man.

The following is from David G. Nickum:

I met Bo Thompson in early December, 1962, as both of us were signing in for Primary Flight School, Camp Wolters, Texas. We then were neighbors at Fort Rucker, and Bo was a favorite with all the children in the area. He had none of his own at the time (that i recall) but had plenty of time to “play” with our kids and the others too.
